A 'huge' police presence was dispatched to the scene
Neighbours have spoken out after a street in Nottingham was cordoned off by police after an incident. Police were spotted in Brook Close, Bulwell, with reports suggesting they were called out on Saturday evening [May 27]
An eyewitness saw a heavy police presence at around 8pm on Saturday - the cordon was no longer in place as of 9am on Sunday morning, May 28. Video footage taken at the scene on Saturday shows two police vans and at least five police cars near Brook Close, along with a cordon. A resident in the area who wished to remain anonymous said; “I was at work so I didn’t see anything. I just came home like normal and the cordon was all there.”A retired 61 year old who did not wish to be named said: “We didn’t hear it to start off. I think it was about four or five o’clock or maybe a bit later. There was loads of police officers.
"It was still there when I went to bed about 11 or 12 o’clock. It is quite unusual for the area, we do get a bit of bother and little bits but nothing like that."They weren’t letting any one through. A neighbour down there has her daughter stuck on the other side of it and they wouldn’t let her through."
Another resident on the street said: “There was still police here when we got here. It was up until about 9.45pm last night."It is worrying to me because someone phoned me up and let me know so I was a bit worried about coming home."
