‘Not very good.’ Tuberville talks Auburn season, early Iron Bowl scouting report

Tommy Tuberville was in Birmingham on Monday and spoke with reporters about a number of topics.

Auburn lost four straight SEC games to open the season before beating Kentucky, 24-10 back on Oct. 26. A home loss to Vanderbilt followed before an open week and Saturday’s blowout win over ULM.The Tigers have been outscored 79-62 in fourth quarters of games this season. “I’d never seen Alabama play on that level,” Tuberville said. “They look like they’re 10 feet off the ground above Georgia the whole first half and then it just totally flipped.”

“The great thing about the Iron Bowl, it’s played on emotion and it’s only four quarters,” Tuberville said, “And so you try to hang in there. Like Auburn last year had a great chance to win a game. They lost on the last play of the game and they weren’t the best team.”
