Businessman and Presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy has declared the United States “should not be involved” in Israel's war on Hamas, although stressing Israel has the right “to get the job done”.

The 38-year-old Republican candidate sat down with Sky News Australia host Piers Morgan on Tuesday, where he suggested it was no longer USA's responsibility to “be the global police”.

“I come from a different generation, that has seen the cost of six and a half trillion dollars of our national debt attributable to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan that did not advance US interests,” he said.“My question is does our military engagement help our national interest?” “This is Israel’s right to protect itself and to get its own job done. My view to Iran is you stay out, we stay out,” he said.
