Northrop Grumman’s AN/ALQ-257 Integrated Viper Electronic Warfare Suite (IVEWS) completed key U.S. Air Force testing.

Now advancing to flight testing on F-16 s, IVEWS is set to provide advanced electronic warfare capabilities, enhancing survivability in contested environments.

At the Air Force’s J-PRIMES facility in Atlantic City, evaluations of the AN/ALQ-257 IVEWS endured a full spectrum series of U.S. requirements. It also took care of threats set out by an exacting suite capable of simulating even complex radio frequency spectrum dangers. The recent testing was crucial; according to Colonel Michael Rigoni, the U.S. Air Force’s Director of F-16 International Electronic Warfare Systems. This capped three years of system-level testing, covering many Integration Demonstrations and Applications Lab events. that “This successful completion of J-PRIMES testing confirms the maturity of IVEWS and its readiness to protect the U.S. and international F-16 fleets.
