Northeast Ohio will experience a prolonged period of rain, after the severe weather Sunday, through Tuesday, which will cause flooding and damp conditions, said Zach Secovic, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Cleveland.
Northeast Ohioans can expect scattered showers throughout the area Saturday, which will pick up in the afternoon. “Don’t expect severe weather today,” he said. “Sunday afternoon and evening we are expecting showers and thunderstorms will enter from the left and there’s a potential for these to become strong and severe.”After that round of storms, from Sunday night through Tuesday, the area will experience wet weather.
“It’s just sort of going to be a dreary end of June,” he said. “Just prolonged cloudy days, rain, things like that.” The threat of those strong to severe thunderstorms that will hit Northeast Ohio from Sunday afternoon to Sunday night will impact the Ohio Valley, like Cincinnati, the hardest, according to the National Weather Service in Cleveland and
