CLEVELAND, Ohio — Northeast Ohio is about to get its own heat wave, although it won’t approach the stifling conditions that are occurring in the western U.S.
Monday will see highs in the mid-80s, with chances of isolated showers and thunderstorms in the Cleveland area between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Otherwise, expect mostly sunny skies. Overnight lows will be in the mid-60s with partly cloudy skies. The chances of showers and thunderstorms will linger into Wednesday morning, but otherwise it will be sunny and hot, with highs around 91 degrees in the Cleveland area and 93 in Akron. It will be warm and humid overnight, with temps in the low 70s and chances of showers and thunderstorms.
