Cooler temperatures and lower humidity are in store.
CLEVELAND, Ohio - A fall-like chill continues into the second half of this weekend with a couple lake-effect showers possible.
After a sunny start to the day for most locations, expect a partly cloudy sky during the afternoon. Parts of Lake and Ashtabula counties have already seen a couple showers zipping off the lake this morning. A few more are possible throughout the day, particularly in these eastern zones, but plenty of dry time is still expected. There have also been reports of a few funnels/waterspouts over the lake. These are expected to be weak and short-lived and will not make it over land.
Meanwhile, temperatures started as cool as the low 50s in spots this morning. Now that the sun is up, expect a quick rise to the low 70s by noon. However, high temperatures only top out in the mid 70s again with a west wind between 10 and 20 mph, occasionally gusting up to 25 mph. This breeze continues to keep the risk for rip currents high on all Lake Erie beaches as well as lead to choppy water conditions.Monday stays dry under a partly cloudy sky. High temperatures top out in the mid 70s for a third straight day.Wednesday will be mostly sunny and dry outside of a stray shower or two.
Thursday will be the warmest day of the week with high temperatures in the mid 80s, then slightly cooler temperatures return Friday and Saturday with a more appreciable increase in shower and thunderstorm chances.Northeast Ohio weather: Feeling like fall this weekend
