Residents in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia are preparing for a possible Category 3 storm expected to make landfall between Cedar Key and Tallahassee on Thursday. The Weather Authority predicts deteriorating conditions starting early Thursday with the strongest impacts throughout the day. Areas like Alachua, Union, Bradford, Baker, and Columbia counties in northeast Florida are anticipated to experience significant effects, along with inland regions around Charlton, Brantley, Ware County, and the I-75 corridor.
