A number of Northamptonshire MPs have kept their jobs
in the cabinet after sticking by the Prime Minister during the manic departure of over 50 government ministers. The MP for Corby was even promoted to a ministerial role on Thursday .
He said he "tried to persuade my colleagues that it would be eccentric to change governments" but that "when the herd moves, it moves". Despite passionately defending the PM throughout the Chris Pincher crisis, including accusing the Labour and Lib Dem opposition of "Boris Bashing" on Tuesday, Mr Bone did not receive a promotion to cabinet.
One MP who was not at the resignation but who has kept his job in the cabinet is Northampton North's Michael Ellis. He remains Minister for the Cabinet Office and Paymaster General.
