A 17-year-old student at Royse City ISD was arrested Thursday, and is accused of threatening Royse City High School over social media, according to police.
The 17-year-old student, whose name police did not release, is facing one count of threat or exhibition or use of firearms on or in school property, according to Royse City police.student was arrested earlier this week after he allegedly threatened the district’s high school in a social media post, police say.About 5:30 p.m. Thursday, the Royse City Police Department was notified that a student at Royse City High School “posted a credible threat” to the campus.
He is facing one count of threat or exhibition or use of firearms on or in school property, a Class A misdemeanor, police said.
