Large hail and damaging winds are the main threats for the area, but there is a non-zero chance of an isolated tornado. The Storm Prediction Center expanded the area under the ‘slight’ risk on Wednesday afternoon. Originally, it only included the areas west of I-35. That area is still the most likely to see severe weather.The storms are expected to begin after 3 p.m. on Thursday and the threat could stick around through 11 p.m.FOX 4 meteorologists Dan Henry and Ali Turiano talk about what causes hail to form and just how destructive it can be.
