North Royalton City Council has rejected an ordinance that would have authorized the leasing of 15 license-plate-reading security cameras and installing them throughout town.

Dawn Carbone-McDonald was one of four North Royalton City Council members to vote against the leasing of license-plate-reading cameras. NORTH ROYALTON, Ohio – City Council has rejected an ordinance that would have authorized the leasing of 15 license-plate-reading security cameras and installing them throughout town.

The vote was 4-2 on April 19. Council members John Nickell and Joanne Krejci voted in favor of the cameras while Michael Wos, Linda Barath, Paul Marnecheck and Dawn Carbone-McDonald voted against them.
