The North Ridgeville Corn Festival Committee is celebrating another successful event. Kudos to the committee and everyone who made the festival possible.“The 49th North Ridgeville Corn Festival was a resounding success, thanks to the tireless efforts of the festival committee and the dedicated volunteers who came together to make it happen,” said John Butkowski, president of the North Ridgeville Corn Festival Committee.
Butkowski also mentioned festival highlights including the fireworks display, Car Show with over 150 participants, Corn Eating Contest, and the free entertainment throughout the event. “Of course, we must also thank Mother Nature for blessing us with sunny skies and moderate temperatures, contributing to the perfect festival atmosphere,” he said. “The smiles on the faces of our attendees said it all—everyone had a wonderful time.”
This year’s Grande Parade was one of the largest in recent years, with 97 vehicles, 75 Units, and more than 860 walkers. Congratulations to the winners of the Corn Eating Contest. Thank you to the judges, former mayor David Gillock and Bruce Abens . In total, 37 participants consumed 155 ears of corn.The committee is already planning for next year’s 50th anniversary celebration.
