With added accessibility in mind, North Olmsted is expected to soon make a Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities grant application seeking $10,000 for an equipment upgrade at the recreation center.
NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio --
“We were approached by a North Olmsted resident who works at the Cuyahoga County Board of Disabilities and Development regarding a $10,000 grant they give out for an adult family changing table,” North Olmsted Director of Recreation & Public Engagement Tim Pinchek said. The amenities are raised and lowered to accommodate needs and ensure caregivers and individuals with disabilities have a comfortable and accessible space to attend to their restroom needs in a safe, hygienic and dignified space.
“We’ll convert one of our multipurpose rooms that we have over there, make it into like an adult family changing area,” he said.
