North McGregor Avenue in Mobile has reopened since closing in January for construction.
The newly re-opened N. McGregor Ave. in Mobile, Ala. Thursday, September 21, 2023. The road had been closed since January for construction to replace the underground infrastructure and add sidewalks and on-street parking. North McGregor Avenue from Old Shell Road to the roundabout at Museum Drive is now open to traffic, after being closed since January.
“There were a lot of people that thought it was supposed to be done yesterday, and the day before that, and the day before that,” Stimpson said. “The contractors, the engineers, everybody involved knew there was a lot of pressure to get this street opened and they worked very diligently to make that happen.”
