The normal, sometimes hate-filled and aggressive walk from Arsenal Tube to the stadium was missing. Today the atmosphere can only be described as serene as women and girls of all ages looked forward to the game. For sure there were men in attendance but this this was genuine ladies’ day and they took care of business, on and off field, in fine style.

In keeping with the sport’s great traditions, hotdogs and burgers were consumed but alcohol was not prevalent with a feelgood factor present all match. Arsenal should have been out of sight within the first quarter of the match but they did a second courtesy of goal poacher supreme Vivianne Miedema who pounced on a defensive mistake just before the break.

“We are already seeing string demand for the game against Manchester and Chelsea that weill be here at Emirates Stadium.
