South Korean news agency Yonhap said the man, in his 30s, was taken into custody by police in the early hours of Tuesday for trying to return to the North by crossing the Tongil Bridge.The bridge, north-west of Seoul, is near the demilitarised zone connecting the two Koreas He told police he was struggling to settle in the South, where he had been living for more than a decade.An investigator told the AFP news agency the man missed his family, who were still in the North, and lived under "difficult economic conditions as a construction worker".Seoul's unification ministry told Reuters around 34,200 North Koreans have resettled in the South, often to escape poverty and oppression.
