South Korea's military suspects North Korea is preparing to send more troops to Russia after its initial deployment on the war fronts suffered heavy casualties. The Joint Chiefs of Staff reported this assessment to journalists, stating that North Korea is also continuing preparations to test-fire a ballistic missile. This development raises concerns among South Korea, the United States, and other international observers.
There are fears that Russia could reciprocate North Korea's military support by transferring advanced weapons technologies that could bolster North Korea's nuclear program.
