The Harris campaign allegedly used a fake story headline by the radio station in one of its advertisements.

HOUSTON, TEXAS - JULY 31: Democratic Presidential candidate, U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris delivers remarks during the Sigma Gamma Rho's 60th International Biennial Boule at the George R. Brown Convention Center on July 31, 2024 in Houston, Texas.

"This is all happening really fast for us ... We are reaching out to people who we believe could give us some good counsel on that and try to figure out what our avenues are,” Hallstrom said. “They lied to everybody who saw that ad, and they misled them into believing that there is a news organization, with a 100-year history in our community of doing good solid journalism, that not only took sides in a political debate, if you will, but also openly performed cheerleading exercises on behalf of that candidate in their news headlines in their story,” Hallstrom said. “That’s wrong.”
