North Chicago man dies from injuries related to Tuesday shooting of 3 near Beach Park

One of three people wounded in a Tuesday shooting near Beach Park has died from his injuries, the Lake County coroner’s office said Friday.

Williams was one of three people in a vehicle who were shot in the parking lot of a business in the 38900 block of North Lewis Avenue at about 1:15 p.m. Tuesday.

Police who responded to the scene did not find anyone in the parking lot, but located a vehicle pulled over near Wadsworth and Gabriel Avenue with three wounded people inside, including Williams.No one has been arrested in the shooting, which police said does not appear to be gang-related. Sheriff’s detectives continue to investigate the incident.
