The driver of the SUV is seen running the stop sign and barely slowing down after striking the boy with a blow that knocked him to the ground.
The boy’s phone goes flying and he is seen walking slowly back to the sidewalk, where he appears to be in pain and is comforted by the woman.
Amazingly, the boy then walked to school, where he alerted school officials to what had occurred. School officials then called North Bergen police. The boy appears to have only suffered minor injuries. Police are also seeking the public’s help in locating the woman with the stroller who aided the victim, since she was a witness to the hit-and-run. Anyone with information is urged to call 392-2141.
