The outbreak was reported to the CDC 's vessel sanitation program on Tuesday. Those affected have reported diarrhea and vomiting. At present, the CDC states that the cause of the illness remains unknown.
'Enhanced measures have been implemented onboard in an abundance of caution to protect the health and comfort of all our guests and crew,' the cruise line stated. The CDC confirmed that ill passengers and crew were isolated from others, and 'increased cleaning and disinfection procedures' were put in place.
