Russian gas flows to Germany through the Nord Stream pipeline will drop to about 20% of capacity, Gazprom said, blaming turbine problems
Russian state-owned energy producer Gazprom PJSC said natural-gas exports through the vital Nord Stream pipeline to Germany will drop to about a fifth of the pipe’s capacity, blaming problemsand raising new questions about Europe’s ability to sock away enough gas for the winter.
The reduction in the pipeline’s capacity—from 40% currently to 20%—is expected to take effect Wednesday, Gazprom said.
