Broadcaster Criselda Kananda has reflected on how the late Rhema Bible Church founder Ray McCauley accepted and embraced her HIV status.
Radio and TV presenter Criselda Kananda has shared a heartfelt tribute to the late Ray McCauley, founder of Rhema Bible Church, whoFor the media personality, this included the man of God accepting her HIV status. Criselda is one of many celebrities who maintained a close friendship with the popular pastor.On her social media accounts, Criselda Kananda paid tribute to Ray McCauley, who died “peacefully” in his home while surrounded by his loved ones.
Criselda posted: “I know he has gone home to live eternally with no more pain. Yet I feel a deep sense of loss because he was not just a pastor and spiritual mentor but a true father figure to me and my daughters. His wisdom, kindness, and unwavering support have left an indelible mark on our lives. The broadcaster – who is also a social justice and health advocate as well as a motivational speaker – revealed that the pastor had no qualms about accepting her, despite the stigma.
She continued: “I will always cherish the moments we shared, the guidance he provided, especially when I disclosed my HIV status. Rhema, under his leadership, made it so easy to find my comfort in the non-judgemental Almighty God who is for all of us, and I will forever cherish the love he extended to my family.
