Since its grand reopening just a few weeks ago, the Noel Wien Public Library has launched back into community programs.
“During our first week or so we had about 11,000 people come to the library,” recalled library director Jamia Alexander Ball. “We continue to be very busy, and so far this month we’ve had around 25,000.”
In addition to using this program to track their reading at home, kids have the opportunity to participate in Storytime’s, or try out the Chess Club, or even Seek-and-Find with a map and prizes around the library’s new architecture. Just outside the front door a Story Stroll meanders along a path of construction cones.
The current book along the path is “Ready Set Build,” to fit with the summer’s construction theme. The Story Stroll book will be changed out every two weeks.
