Noah Kahan used to live in New York City, but you’ll never catch him calling himself a New Yorker. “I could never find my way around the city,” he tells Vogue. Still, “Playing Madison Square Garden is an honor as a former New York resident.” To play MSG is one thing, but to sell it out—for two night—is an entirely different ballpark. “It's one of the greatest venues on earth,” Kahan says.
“Preparing for a show usually just requires about three hours of vocal prep with tea, steam, and warmups,” he says. “I also try to make sure I sleep at least eight hours the night before, or I start to get cranky.” For the momentous occasion of performing at MSG, the singer wanted to stick close to his personal style, which he describes as “organic,” and honors his Vermont roots.
