Wan Salim Wan Mohd Noor’s statement comes in the wake of a controversy over alleged comments by Kelantan’s new menteri besar, Nassuruddin Daud.

Wan Salim said such parties are created by humans and are therefore not sacred nor sacral in nature, reported Harian Metro. He reminded the public that fighting for Islam involves more than the mere use of slogans, but through upholding social justice, improving welfare, eradicating poverty, combating corruption and vices, and so on.

Yesterday, the two assemblymen, Barisan Nasional’s Syahbuddin Hashim, who is the Galas assemblyman, and Kota Lama assemblyman Dr Hafidzah Mustakim from Pakatan Harapan-Amanah, said Nassuruddin had gone too far.Kelantan Amanah’s legal bureau spokesman Hisham Fauzi also rebuked Nassuruddin, saying PAS does not have exclusive rights to the Islamic struggle.
