PETALING JAYA: There is no record of the Russian couple who went viral for climbing to the top of the Merdeka 118 Tower exiting or entering the country, according to the Immigration Department.
However, a local daily reported a source in the department as saying that it would continue to investigate the matter.
The authorities, added the source, are still investigating, including looking into the possibility of them entering Malaysia illegally. “We have also called in nine individuals, including staff and workers at the tower, after the viral incident,” said the source.
