South Korea is Asia’s best spot for a foodie holiday, according to a survey.
KUALA LUMPUR: No new arrests have been made in connection with the ongoing investigation of alleged sand mining concession bribes involving Mentri Besar Selangor Incorporated , says Tan Sri Azam Baki .
The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission chief commissioner said one individual had been rearrested and remanded for seven days."The investigating officer is still tracking down shares believed to have been received as bribes," he told a press conference after a governance enhancement ceremony between MACC and the Social Security Organisation here on Friday ."Give us time to thoroughly investigate the case," he added.
He said the MACC has also frozen assets and accounts worth millions of ringgit as part of the investigation.It was reported that 20 projects under MBI believed to be involved in corrupt activities were being investigated.“We are going to check 20 projects involving the state which we have been informed had involved bribes,” he said.
“These are projects which have to do with state interests and are not linked to the current Selangor Mentri Besar.“We do not know if there are other politicians involved,” he added, declining to identify the politician in question. Azam also said a former chief operating officer of MBI had been rearrested on Thursday and remanded for a week over another issue.
