No more extension of SIM registration deadline – NTC

The NTC on Tuesday said there would be on more extension of the July 25 deadline for the mandatory SIM card registration.

Deputy Commissioner Jon Paulo Salvahan said that 103.5 million SIM cards have been registered so far, or 61.6 percent of total subscribers, six days before the deadline.

“Based on our discussions with the DICT , there will no longer be an extension. Our deadline to register your SIMs is only until July 25, 2023, 11:59 p.m,” Salvahan said. He said that the NTC is hoping that SIM cards registered will reach 110 million by July 25.
