A message of unity rang out across Carlisle as residents gathered for a “No Hate in Our State” rally following the distribution of white supremacist flyers over the weekend. The rally, marked by singing and speeches, brought together community members determined to reject hate after materials linked to the Aryan Freedom Network appeared on car windshields and front lawns throughout the area.
“Hate has no home here. Not in our homes. Not in our hearts.” Residents reported finding the flyers sealed in plastic bags - either placed on vehicles or thrown onto private property. The materials included the alarming phrase: “We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children.” Dr. Jan Arminio, a Carlisle resident and organizer of todays event said the incident was deeply troubling. “I’ve pictured Carlisle as a place of safety and a place where people care about each other,” Arminio said. “The fact that someone would distribute these messages of hate was really disturbing.” While the rally drew strong support, not everyone in attendance agreed on the circumstances surrounding the flyers’ distribution. Michael Swartz, a Carlisle resident, questioned whether there was proof the materials were actually distributed by outside actors. “If there’s any kind of proof that these flyers are actually left - or if these people just printed them themselves - because that’s my theory,” Swartz said. “It just seems odd that people would leave flyers on a car in 2026. I don’t see it happening.” In a statement to CBS 21, the Aryan Freedom Network wrote, “Due to outreach, I can confirm that there are many pro-white residents in the area as well surrounding areas.” Despite the controversy, the tone of the rally remained focused on solidarity. Many attendees held signs promoting peace and unity, emphasizing that Carlisle would not be complicit in spreading hate. “When something like that happens, you want to do something. You want to be with others,” said resident Jake Waybright. “The singing together, the number of people that came out - it really is uplifting.”Reality show brings contestants to Lancaster, Pennsylvania to become 'Suddenly Amish' After spending a month with Amish families in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, an upstate New York woman has decided she wants to become Amish.Billie Jo HeffronPennDOT denied thousands of personalized license plates in 2025, many of which included expletives, sexual innuendos or referenced to social media trends. An Ephrata man has been charged with strangulation and assault after threatening to kill a woman and bury her where no one would find her body.A Halifax woman says she is struggling to cope after a fire destroyed the home where her family built decades of memories.Jessica Humphreys is speaking about her husband for the first time after he was tragically killed in a fire last month.Jessica said she had just been at the hou
