CEBU CITY,Philippines — The Cebu City Police Office will implement a “No-Fly Zone” over Cebu City during the Fiesta Señor celebration on Sunday, January 15, 2023.
Police Colonel Ireneo Dalogdog, chief of the CCPO, said the implementation of the “No-Fly Zone” is part of the security measures for the 458th Fiesta Señor. It will be effective during the Sinulog grand parade and the ritual showdown at the South Road Properties .capability niya ba sa pag-alsa og item pwede man gud makabitbit og kanang IED or kanang bomba nga possible pwede ra pud ihulog ba so mao na atong ginaiwasan para ma-ensure nato ang security and safety sa mga tao nga gustong mo-witness sa Sinulog festival”, Dalogdog said.
Dalogdog, however, said that those who wish to use drones in covering all the religious and cultural activities in the city can get a permit first from the Police Regional Office in Central Visayas .“Lahat ng drones [with no permits] na pinalilipad during that time is pinagbabawal,”Dalogdog said that a separate group of policemen will be assigned to monitor the air space over Cebu City for drones used for all the activities.
