‘No concerns’: Bevo responds to scrutiny as Dogs’ finals hopes teeter
Despite two losses to sides well below them on the ladder in successive weeks - which Beveridge said should not be grouped together - the ninth-year senior coach said he remained confident in his ability to connect with and motivate his playing group.
“This weekend, it’s really Marcus and Tom that started with me nine years ago, we’ve had dramatic change all around me from a list point of view and definitely a staff point of view. “I’ve got no concern that my messaging doesn’t resonate with our group. But it’s my challenge to continue to prod and explore what the right recipe is week-to-week and year-to-year. I’ve got no concerns.”
The two-time AFL Coach of the Year expanded on the reasons for his cautious approach during Friday’s press conference.
