PETALING JAYA: Deputy Dewan Rakyat Speaker Mohd Rashid Hasnon says he had no choice but to accept the postponement of the next Dewan Rakyat sitting as it was Putrajaya’s call.“I have no choice. I have to agree because it is an instruction. The rules are such that the date comes from the executive.Rashid added that Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin would need to complete his Cabinet by May 18 so that Dewan Rakyat proceedings can go smoothly.
Earlier today, Dewan Rakyat Speaker Mohd Ariff Md Yusof said the parliamentary sitting would begin on May 18 following the change of government.
