The Nittany Lions (11-1) return to Indianapolis for the second time under James Franklin, while the Ducks (12-0) are in the title game during their first season in the Big Ten.

Dan Lanning’s Ducks have gotten it done on both sides of the ball this season, led by Heisman Trophy candidate and Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year Dillon Gabriel at quarterback. They have a trio of talented wide receivers — Tez Johnson, Evan Stewart and Traeshon Holden — who all have at least 500 receiving yards this season. Running back Jordan James has over 1,100 yards with 13 touchdowns.
Defensively, Oregon might be even better, especially up front. Defensive ends Matayo Uiagalelei and Jordan Burch are dangerous. Penn State will have its hands full all evening.. Top wide receiver Harrison Wallace III is cleared and should be good to go after missing last week’s game. After two straight absences, rotational cornerback Elliot Washington II was also off the report. Special teams ace and reserve linebacker DaKaari Nelson was questionable.
