Safety Max Williams and cornerback Jacobe Covington are not participating in warmups as USC prepares to face Utah at the Coliseum, leaving the Trojans shorthanded in the secondary against the Utes. Williams suffered a leg injury early during last week's game against Notre Dame.
With the redshirt senior out, Bryson Shaw and Zion Branch are in line for larger roles. Covington suffered an undisclosed injury against Arizona and will miss his second consecutive game. Utah is also suffering from injuries, mainly to quarterback Cameron Rising, who has not played all season since tearing his ACL in the Rose Bowl.
