JOHANNESBURG - Nissan South Africa has announced plans to invest R3-billion in its Rosslyn plant in Gauteng in order to manufacture the latest version of the Navara bakkie. The announcement was made on Wednesday at an event attended by President Cyril Ramaphosa and Mike Whitfield, the managing director at Nissan South Africa.Ramaphosa delivered the keynote address and said Nissan investment is a 'milestone' for the country.

Navara production will commence in 2020 and is expected to add 30,000 units to the plant’s annual production.
