A handful of parents reported issues to the districts, prompting them to stop serving the milk at all campuses.

That parent’s daughter, who attends NISD, reported drinking “chunky bad tasting strawberry milk” the next day, and was later taken to the hospital with complaints of stomach pain.Laura Short, a spokeswoman for SAISD said in a statement that the district was aware of the issue, “and addressed it immediately by pulling the affected milk, and our cafeteria staff are not serving it.”
Barry Perez, a spokesperson for NISD said the district has also received two complaints, and has seen others on social media.
