Nintendo is hosting a new 7-star Tera Raid Battle in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, allowing players to team up and battle Cinderace with its Fighting Tera Type. The battle will take place from June 11 to June 18, and players will need to have downloaded the latest Poké Portal News to participate.
Marking the first instalments in Gen 9 of the beloved Pokémon franchise, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet was released back in 2022 and took players to the Paldea Region.
Featuring an open-world map, players can embark on three separate stories within the game, as well as encounter a whopping 120 brand-new Pokémon. Not only that, but Pokémon Scarlet and Violet introduced the concept of time-displaced 'mons known as Paradox Pokémon as well as the ability for Pokémon to transform into a brand-new type called 'Tera Types'.
Despite all of its exciting new features, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet was met with mixed reviews upon launch, mainly due to the technical problems it launched with. However, since a free update dropped on the Nintendo Switch 2, introducing improved visuals, performance and various quality-of-life upgrades, its reception has since improved. Now, as an incentive for more Pokémon fans to return to the world of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Nintendo is hosting yet another Tera Raid Battle.
Running from June 11, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. PDT to Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 4:59 p.m, this brand-new 7-star Tera Raid will see players join together to battle Cinderace, but with Fighting as its Tera Type, be prepared for them to not go down without a fight. With the Mightiest Mark to prove just how formidable they are, you will have to work together with other players to head to the Tera Raid crystal on the map and embark on a limited-time battle.
It is those Tera Crystals that appear like beacons on the map that you will have to interact with in order to start the Tera Battle. However, in order to join in, you will have to make sure that you have downloaded the latest Poké Portal News.
However, doing so is simple by following these steps: Then, all there is left to do is head to the Tera Crystal and begin the fight. Well, that is if you have completed all of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's post-game events OR join another 7-Star Tera Battle with somebody who is eligible.
Additionally, you can only fight Cinderace once per save file, so you cannot spam the battle in order to double your rewards. However, it is those rewards that you will want to get your hands on as they will massively improve your Pokédex in standard gameplay.
By defeating Cinderace in the Tera Battle, you will walk away with a large amount of XP, as well as Candy to level up your Pokémon, treasures to be sold at Pokémon Centers, and items which will help improve your 'mons stats. Additionally, grabbing Fighting Tera Shards will allow you to change your Pokémon's Tera Types at will.
Overall, it is worth taking part in the brand-new Tera Battle and team up with other Pokémon lovers in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
