Name, Image and Likeness is all part of the new wild west that is college sports, particularly football. ABC 6's "The Football Fever" team spent some time recently diving into NIL with sports law attorney Luke Fedlam, NIL collective co-founder Brian Schottenstein of The Foundation and football analyst and former OSU defensive lineman Jay Richardson.

The group examined a number of issues including NIL, the transfer portal and the new Big Ten-SEC advisory group. The panel also suggested more changes are coming. Those possibilities include federal governance of NIL and/or more control of NIL by the schools themselves. All agreed that coaches, athletes and families would love to see some guardrails installed.
