PUTRAJAYA: Datuk Nik Nasarudin Mohd Zawawi has been appointed as the new secretary-general of the Education Ministry effective Thursday (Feb 2), says Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali.

Nik Nasarudin, 57, has been in public service for 32 years, starting as a teacher or education service officer on Jan 12, 1988, before joining the Administrative and Diplomatic Service Scheme on Dec 16, 1996.
