The worst moment in Nightwing's life was witnessing the death of his parents. Shortly after, he was whisked away by Bruce Wayne and trained to eventually became Robin, in an attempt to focus that trauma into something positive. As it turns out, Dick Grayson's ex-girlfriend Bea Bennett, surprisingly, had a very similar life trajectory, where she witnessed the death of a parent, before being whisked away into a fantastical life.
Bea spent a great deal of time homeless on the streets of Bludhaven, fighting to survive, until she eventually attracted the attention of the Hold, and the pirate society around it. After that, she was quickly adopted and given an entire legacy to live up to. Following her mother's death, Bea Bennett spent a long time on the streets. Wanting to investigate the scene of her mother's demise once again, Bea stole a yacht and traveled to where her mother was killed This is where she was stopped by Captain Blud and his pirates. Impressed with the teenage girl's ability to both steal and sail a yacht, Captain Blud adopted her.

Tragic Story of Billy Collins Jr.I'm old enough to remember this,but i don't. Just ran across the Billy Collins Jr. story. Very tragic and criminal. There is a documentary about it(Assault in the Ring). Short version of the story is this kid was just 21 and a great up and coming boxer(14-0 at the time) and was matched up with a journeyman(Luis Resto) with a 19-8 record.
