Joe Newell later orchestrated a fine move to restore Hibs' lead, but a late strike from Jamieson ensured the spoils were shared, as St Mirren secured a point to stay third in the Premiership, leaving Hibs trailing by seven points in eighth place. It's now just two league wins in 12 this season for the capital club.
The penalty that led to O’Hara’s equaliser was a particular point of contention for Montgomery, who questioned the call with evident exasperation: “If that’s a penalty, there’s going to be 10 penalties every game. A 6ft 5 player falls to the ground with minimal contact.”
