Nick Ball makes Naoya Inoue intentions clear as Anfield stance emerges
Nick Ball would love the chance to fight Naoya Inoue in a huge world title showdown as he prepares for his Liverpool homecoming this weekend. Ball puts his WBA featherweight title on the line against Ronny Rios at the M&S Bank Arena on Saturday night in a voluntary defence. Following a controversial draw against Rey Vargas , the 27-year-old returned to Saudi Arabia in June and picked up his first world title after beating Ray Ford on points .
“He is the name I am getting mentioned with, and he is the fighter that everyone is speaking about, and they are the fighters that I want to fight,” Ball told the ECHO . “I want to prove that I am better than them. I want to show that I am the best. So yeah, he is definitely someone I would fight. If he is coming up to my weight, I want to show why I am the man at my weight.
