Cathy Magee had previously survived an abusive relationship
A grandmother who lost her house and fell into £70,000 of debt after her husband became ill, having previously been in an abusive relationship, is now earning £10,000 a month.
Cathy began working for Avon full-time to supplement Ivan’s income, and five years later, the pair run their own Avon business, bought a house and together earn £10,000 a month. When he moved in with her, Cathy discovered the “extent of his drinking habit” and he gradually started to become more and more controlling.
At first, Cathy’s partner “always made excuses” for his behaviour and insisted that it would never happen again. After she had left the relationship, she reconnected with a man who she had known previously and who became her now-husband. “Everybody wants to be in a relationship, they want to be loved and appreciated by someone, but I think there was always doubt in my mind.Sadly, in 2007, Ivan experienced issues with his heart, and to supplement his income, Cathy decided to become an Avon representative.
Cathy and Ivan’s combined income rose to around £10,000 a month, and by 2012, the pair were able to pay off their debts and, in 2022, they bought their current house.
