A couple from Northern Ireland recall the moment a deadly black mamba snake headed their way while on holiday in Botswana
A Co Tyrone couple recently came within metres of a deadly black mamba snake while on holiday in Botswana.
Carol was able to snap a few photos of the black mamba as it swam towards the boat, before the passengers were able to move safely away from the poisonous animal."Black mambas will launch themselves towards a vehicle or person, and in this case the snake had set its sights on our boat, so we had to get out of the way pretty sharpish,” Carol said.“We had such confidence in our guides, but I was a bit apprehensive at first.
Carol added: "It was quite a moment but we had so much confidence in our guides, who knew exactly what to do.
