BREAKING: NHS worker stabbed inside hospital as police arrest man
A hospital has been placed in lockdown after a worker was stabbed inside the building.
Officers were called to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, in Brighton, at 8.42am this morning following reports that a member of staff had sustained a stab wound. The site was then quickly secured, Sussex Police said. No other workers or patients were injured in the incident, a spokesperson confirmed.
A man, 30, has since been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after being found on nearby Wilson Avenue at 9.40am. He has now been taking into custody for further questioning.
