HARDWORKING NHS cleaners and porters were coronavirus "super-spreaders" in hospitals rather than frontline staff, according to a new study.
Sir John told the newspaper: "Most of the people with sky-high antibody levels are domiciliary workers rather than front line workers in intensive care. The results are now being used by hospitals to help prepare if a second wave hits the UK on the winter. In some cases, the infection was passed on by staff unaware they had the disease and who were displaying no symptoms.
