One call handler said she was left feeling sick
A hoax caller made obscene 111 calls telling operators he had a permanent erection and could not stop putting items up his bum.
Between September 8 and September 11, 2021, he made four calls to the service, telling female call handlers he had taken Viagra and had a permanent erection. He said he was too embarrassed to talk about his problems to coax the women into using explicit words and phrases, Lisa Worsley, prosecuting, told Preston Crown Court.During the calls, Smith, of North Promenade, Blackpool, gave a false name, but the calls were attributed to his mobile phone number.
Ms Worsley said: "One call handler described how the call made her feel very uncomfortable and sick. For his own sexual gratification, the defendant has breached the restraining order by making calls to abuse a free, 24 hour service and has prevented people with genuine medical needs from being able to access what is potentially a life-saving service."
