NGEx Minerals Ltd. reports promising initial results from its Phase 3 drilling program at the Lunahuasi copper-gold-silver project in San Juan.
NGEx Minerals Ltd. (TSX: NGEX) (OTCQX: NGXXF) announced the first update on its ongoing Phase 3 drill program at the 100% owned Lunahuasi high-grade copper-gold-silver project in San Juan. Six diamond drill rigs are currently operational at the project. This news release presents results received to date for the upper sections of the first two drill holes only. Individual metal grades and estimated true widths of the intersections are detailed in Table 1.
\ The initial results from the upper portions of the first two holes of this program have surpassed expectations. This news release, particularly the results from DPDH024, highlight some of the extremely high grades found at Lunahuasi. Of particular note are the bonanza-grade gold values, demonstrating that Lunahuasi has the potential to be a significant high-grade gold deposit, in addition to being a substantial copper and silver deposit. These gold values would be noteworthy at many high-grade gold-only deposits. Hole DPDH025 also demonstrates that the system persists strongly to the north and remains open beyond its current extent. \With only two drill holes completed to date and most of the drill program still ahead, the program has had a strong start, and the Company anticipates sharing ongoing results on a regular basis over the coming months as drilling continues to expand and infill this remarkable deposit. \Currently, three drill holes are in progress with six drill rigs operating at Lunahuasi. One hole (DPDH024) is completed, and holes DPDH025 through DPDH030 are underway. Additional intersections for these holes, including those from the lower portions of holes DPDH024 and DPDH025, will be released once assays are received, analyzed, and confirmed by the Company. \John Carmichael, B.A.Sc., P.Eng., Qualified Person as defined by NI 43-101, is the Vice President, Exploration for the Company.
